Frequently ASKED QUESTIONS

Are you insured?

Checking all of your vendors are insured is important. I carry professional and public liability insurance, as well as PAT certification and would be happy to provide copies to your venues if required. You may also want to consider purchasing wedding insurance cover for your big day too.

What is your booking fee?

To secure your date in my diary a booking fee of £100 is required, alongside a quick questionnaire and a signature on the contract.

When is the balance due?

The balance is due 30 days prior to your wedding and automatic invoice reminders are sent out periodically. You can also spread the cost with hassle free payment plans without any additional charges.

What happens if you are ill?

I’m self employed and don’t understand your question. Seriously it would take something catastrophic to happen i.e. my death, for me not to be there. I do know a few other semi-decent photographers who I could call upon if need be.

How many pictures will you deliver?

I never guarantee how many photos you will receive as each wedding is unique. I don’t “spray and pray” but I will give you as many of the best photos from your day as possible.

Can we request images on the day?

Absolutely. I do encourage you to let me know if there is anyone special who you’d like a photo with and guests always ask me for a quick family portrait session although these are done at appropriate moments in the day and not during your first dance.

What happens after the wedding? When will we see the finished gallery?

Once all of the images are backed up in several places I set about selecting and processing the best. The images are colour corrected and enhanced as quickly as possible without compromising on quality, which during peak season may take up to 6 weeks. The images are then uploaded to your personal secure online gallery which you can share with friends and family if you wish, and you select your favourites for the products included in your package. First draft of your album is normally done within 72 hours and we then get together to finalise your order before sending to print. Your order will then usually arrive within 6 weeks.

Can we have a mix of colour and black & white images?

Yes of course. I make a professional judgement whilst editing if the image looks best in colour or black & white, and as my editing technique is non-destructive it allows me to change the photo to suit your preference. I do also take special requests for sepia toning and spot colour if required.

Do we receive all the images on a USB?

The short answer is yes! All of your memories are supplied as digital form on whichever media is current. Technology has progressed so much in the past 15 years coming from large floppy disks to current USB drives. Who knows what tomorrow will bring. But albums don’t go out of fashion and this is why I include one in every package I offer.

What albums do you offer?

There is a vast range of albums to choose from with over 60 material and colour choices, 3 sizes and loads of personalised options available. Main albums come in a matching keepsake box with your USB alongside too. Get in touch to schedule a chat and see a variety of samples I keep at the studio.

How many photos can we include in the album?

Like your wedding, the album will be personal to you. I love seeing the very best images from your day put together to tell a story and most couples choose between 60-120 images for the album. Additional spreads can be added to accommodate more images up to a maximum of 80 sides.

Who owns the copyright to the images?

The copyright of the images remains with the me, the photographer, although the only real restriction is you can’t sell the photos, sorry Hello magazine. I do provide a license for personal use.     (for fun Google “monkey selfie copyright saga“)
